Astronomy w/ the Western Colorado Astronomy Club In-Person

Bryan Cashion, President of the Black Canyon Astronomical Society, will give a talk on one of the most fascinating and mysterious objects in the universe - black holes. The concept of on object from which even light cannot escape has been around for more than 200 years.  Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity provided a mathematical basis for their existence; although even Einstein did not believe they could exist.
Join us as Bryan ‘digs’ in the topic of Black Holes.  Discussion topics include star fate, gravity, and the recent first image of a black hole.

The program will be followed by the business portion of the meeting.

Learn about astronomy at our monthly meetup with members of the Western Colorado Astronomy Club. A different topic is featured monthly.
