Astronomy w/ the Western Colorado Astronomy Club - The Sun in Various Lights In-Person

To reflect on the Mercury transit that just happened on November 11, the Western Colorado Astronomy Club will have renowned solar astronomer Matt Harbison presenting via Skype from Tennessee. Matt enjoys all aspects of astronomy from the visual to the photographic, but this month's focus will be observing and imaging the sun in various types of light. Because the sun puts out light across the entire visible spectrum we are able to see different features depending on how we observe, and from transits to eclipses to everyday viewing, these differences are what make solar astronomy so exciting!

The program will be followed by the business portion of the meeting. Snacks will be served.
