Armchair Travelers: Paria Canyon and Rainbow Bridge In-Person

Wander beneath Buckskin and Paria Canyon's amazing red walls and through the world's longest slot canyon, and experience backpacking to Rainbow Bridge along historic trails used before the filling of Lake Powell.

Walt Fite and his wife Marilyn returned to Grand junction in 2001 after his retirement from a carrier in Civil Engineering. Walt fills his days now enjoying the beautiful country in Colorado, Arizona, and Utah hiking, skiing, backpacking, camping, mountain biking, and taking photos. His photographs have been featured in the City of Grand Junction and the Colorado National Monument calendars. Walt’s winter photograph of Independence Monument from Grand View was selected for the 2004 National Park Service passport. This event is co-hosted by the Newcomers Club.
