Growing Grand Junction's Urban Tree Canopy In-Person

Join us as Grand Junction's City Forester and Open Space Supervisor Rob Davis discusses growing and managing trees in the Grand Valley, the value of our urban tree canopy, and smart tree species selection for our area.

Weather permitting, there will also be an optional tour of Mesa County Libraries Discovery Garden following the presentation.

 


 

Grand Junction’s City Forester and Open Space Supervisor Rob Davis has over 20 years of experience managing urban forestry programs for five municipalities across the state of Colorado; he spent 2010 through 2019 as the City Forester for the City and County of Denver. Rob has a Forestry management degree from Colorado State University and is a Certified Nursery Professional through the Colorado Nursery and Greenhouse Association. He is a Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified through the International Society of Arboriculture.
