Gardening with Cold-Hardy Cacti, Succulents, and other Xeric Plants In-Person

Join us for Don Campbell's presentation addressing the many advantages of using cacti, succulents, and other xeric plants in home landscaping. This program will also discuss various considerations while planning, designing, installing, and maintaining an outdoor garden, as well as information about plant acquisition.

This event takes place at 12 p.m., Friday, May 27 in the Central Library Community Room. Seating is limited, and registration is required. Please register below.

There will also be an optional tour of Mesa County Libraries Discovery Garden following the presentation. 


About the Presenter:

Don Campbell has been growing cacti and succulents both indoors and outdoors for over 30 years. He is a member and founder of the Chinle Cactus & Succulent Society in Grand Junction, and is also a member of the Colorado Cactus and Succulent Society along with the Cactus and Succulent Society of America. Don designed and supervised the installation of two highly regarded rock gardens featuring cold-hardy cacti, succulents and other xeric plants at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens in Grand Junction and at the Mesa County Tri River Extension Office.
