You've probably heard of the Colorado State University Extension but may not know about the many services that they offer. Learn about the CSU Extension office and the many ways in which they can help homes, gardens, ranches, and more with CSU Extension Horticulture and Natural Resource Agent Susan Carter.

About the CSU Extension:

Colorado State University Extension offers a wide variety of resources to the public on topics as wide-ranging as home economics, gardening, lawn and tree care, insect identification, weed control, pasture health, and food storage and safety. Their help is only a phone call away and their resources are deep. It's for everyone: from the young person in their first apartment who doesn't know how to do laundry to the newcomer to the Valley who wants to understand the local gardening zone.

About the presenter:

Susan Carter is the Horticulture and Natural Resource Agent for CSU Extension, Tri River Area. Susan has been in this position for 3 years, prior to that she was the Horticulture Program Coordinator also for the CSU Extension. She has always loved plants and started working in the Green Industry in 8th grade and has continued on. She has a bachelor's degree in Ornamental Horticulture and a master's in Landscape Architecture. She is also a certified Arborist and sits on the City of Grand Junction Forestry Board and on DRIP - Drought Response Information Project.
