Da Vinci Club - The Maya Code In-Person

 

In the Renaissance Workshop, learn hands-on activities that teach engineering concepts and creative thinking by looking at inventions and innovations from ancient and medieval history. Registration is preferred by not required. This event is suggested for ages 8-14 years old.

Schedule of Events:

  • 4 p.m., Friday, November 30 at the Central Library: Cup Village - Create a maze, a tower, or whatever your imagination can dream up! Learn both good teamwork and planning skills, all while stacking cups!
  • 4 p.m., Friday, December 14 at the Central Library: The Maya Code - Mayans were among the many Native American groups who made great discoveries in astronomy. Discuss them while creating your own Mayan plaster molds!
  • 4 p.m., Friday, December 28 at the Central Library: Algebra and Art - Math can be beautiful, and art can be calculated! Discover how to create beautiful pieces of art while practicing your geometry skills!
