Armchair Travel: Tour of Indian Rock Art in Eastern Utah In-Person

Join Walt Fite for a tour of Indian rock art found throughout Eastern Utah. We will visit places easy to drive to as well as more remote panels requiring a night or two with a pack on your back. During the program, you will see rock art as old as 4,000 years to the more modern art in 9 Mile Canyon, Rochester Rock, Canyonlands, Thompson Wash, Grand Gulch, Butler Wash, and Vernal, UT.

About the Presenter:

Walt Fite and his wife Marilyn returned to Grand Junction in 2001 after his retirement from a career in Civil Engineering. Walt fills his days now enjoying hiking, skiing, backpacking, camping, and mountain biking the Colorado plateau and mountains with friends and family. His love of photography and the outdoors started with his dad on long summer vacations throughout the west. He is delighted to share the beauty of the places he has been with others.

The event is co-hosted by the Newcomers Club. Seating is limited and tickets will be distributed at the door beginning at 6 p.m.
