Da Vinci Club - Monuments of History In-Person

In the Renaissance Workshop, learn hands-on activities that teach engineering concepts and creative thinking by looking at inventions and innovations from ancient and medieval history. Registration is preferred by not required. This event is suggested for ages 8-14 years old.

Schedule of Events:

  • 4 p.m., Friday, October 12 at the Central Library: Lego Village! Create an amazing Lego village with others! Learn how to set goals and carry them out, while working with others toward a collaborative goal!
  • 4 p.m., Friday, October 26 at the Central Library: Monuments of History! There are a great many man-made wonders of the world. Can you build them? The Great Wall of China, Stonehenge, the Great Pyramids, and more! One catch, you only have pool noodles!
  • 4 p.m., Friday, November 16 at the Central Library: Building with Arches! Learn about how to make better buildings and bridges even if you don't have easy access to steel or concrete. Discover some of the techniques used by builders to create structures that have stood for thousands of years!
