STEM Lab: roboZone In-Person

Join Amanda from AmeriCorps and Sam from the library for a special STEM themed series. Every Monday for six weeks, we will explore robots, robotics, and other concepts in theory and practice.

Recommended for ages 8+. Registration is required for each event.

July 31: Building a robot.

  • Recap of what has been built and discussed before: 1) Robots can look like humans/animals or do human-like tasks 2) Robots are made of different parts that perform a function, like our bodies. These tasks require precise movement and structure to support itself 3) Like living things, robots require energy to function on their own. This energy usually comes from electricity. 4) Electricity moves through circuits and is converted to motion by motors
  • Build your own working robot challenge.
