Water in the Desert: The Grand Valley and its Rivers In-Person

This 30-minute documentary film tells the story of how the communities in the Grand Valley have depended on the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers since their formation in the late 1800’s, and how the communities’ relationship to the rivers has changed over time. This documentary will be presented by a representative from the Water Center at Colorado Mesa University, who will facilitate discussion and answer questions after showing the film.
Hannah Holm is the coordinator and co-founder of the Water Center at Colorado Mesa University, which promotes research, education and dialogue to address the water challenges facing the Upper Colorado River Basin.

Greg Trainor has been closely associated with water for most of his career in Colorado municipal government. He is currently the Chair of the Advisory Council for the Water Center at Colorado Mesa University.
