A Child's Introduction to Classical Music - Clifton Branch Library In-Person

Join local musician and president of Music First, Lynn Sampson, for an interactive introduction to classical music and orchestra instruments. Children will be introduced to concert etiquette, hear various instruments, and be able to touch and play them.

Over the past 30 years, Lynn Sampson has developed an impressive music career in the United States and Europe. After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree at Colorado Mesa University, where he was an early music scholar, Mr. Sampson continued his studies at the University of London receiving a Diploma in Advanced Philosophy and Psychology of Education and then studying theater with Michael Lynch at Modesto Junior College, Modesto, California.

He created Music First, a non-profit dedicated to bringing live music to children and seniors. He founded the Sampson Center, which sponsors the annual Sampson Prize given to the most promising music student at his alma mater, Colorado Mesa University.
