Second Saturday Community Event: Fly Tying for the Curious In-Person

Participants will be introduced to two flies that they can catch fish with immediately, a Wooly Bugger and a Griffith's Gnat. They will learn where and how to fish each fly along with basic fly tying skills that can be used to tie other flies.


This event will take place at the Plateau Valley Fire Station in Collbran at 2004 Elm Street.

Our presenter, Tilda Evans has been fly fishing and tying flies since the late 1990s (remember “A River Runs Through It?”). She loves to teach beginners and the curious how to tie flies, fly fish, and fly cast. She met her husband fly fishing in Montana. Tilda is the Board Chair for Fly Fishers International.
