Planting the Seeds of Poetry With Wendy Videlock In-Person

An Interactive Workshop with Wendy Videlock, Poet Laureate of the Western Slope!

Join us from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 in the Central Library, Monument Room! Let's celebrating National Poetry Month. Unleash your creativity, silence your inner critic, and craft beautiful poems.

Wendy Videlock is the author of four books of poetry, a children's book, and a collection of essays on language, landscape, and the imagination. Her poems appear most notably in Poetry Magazine, O Magazine, Hudson Review, Hopkins Review, The New York Times and Rattle. She is the winner of the Cantor Prize, the Fisher Prize, the PTBS Sonnet Prize and is the three-time winner of the Keats Soul Making Prize. Her syndicated column, The Barefoot Laureate, appears in Colorado newspapers and her visual art is featured in galleries across the Grand Valley. Wendy advocates for the arts across the state and believes that language is the invisible influence in our lives, informing our thoughts, our actions, and our perceptions.
