Coloradans and Our Shared Environment: Workshop & Art Exhibit In-Person

The Coloradans and Our Shared Environment in Times of Challenge and Change,' featuring works created by teams of Colorado artists and CU Boulder scientists. The display narrates the interconnected challenges of fire, drought, and water and air quality faced by Coloradans in their communities. The artwork fosters a dialogue among artists, scientists, and communities.

Join us on Thursday, February 8, at the Central Library Community Rooms:

  • 4:00 p.m.: Open house
  • 5:30 p.m.: Introduction and guided tour of the artwork
  • 6:00 p.m.: Water in Contrast workshop and art exercise

The open house begins at 4 p.m., followed by an introduction and tour at 5:30 p.m. The Water in Contrast workshop, featuring a discussion on drought by Dr. Ben Livneh of CU Boulder, follows the tour. The event concludes with a unique art exercise led by local artist TJ Smith, exploring the contrast of places with and without water.

The artwork will be on display at Mesa County Central Library and the Clifton and Fruita Branch Libraries from January 19 through March 14, 2024. For more details on each team's collaboration, visit http://casefellows.buffscreate.net/.
