Midday with New Dimensions: Western Slope Weather 101 In-Person

Jeff Colton, a Colorado native who has been working as a Meteorologist for the National Weather Service for over 30 years, will be covering the work life of a forecast meteorologist. He will explain the different weather hazards associated with the area, how to access hazardous weather warnings, and how to be aware of hazardous weather situations.


Jeff obtained his degree in Meteorology from Metropolitans State University in Denver. Jeff is currently the Warning Coordination Meteorologist and an Incident Meteorologist for the National Weather Service Office in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he has been stationed since 1998. As an Incident Meteorologist, he travels around the country supporting first responders on incidents ranging from floods to wildfires.
