Toastmasters: Youth Leadership Program

Toastmasters Youth Leadership Bootcamp Spring 2018 will bring together bright and passionate students from all over Grand Junction for five weeks of transformative personal experience, leadership & presentation skills.

The Toastmaster Youth Leadership Bootcamp Program are workshops consisting of five two-hour sessions that enable students to develop communication and leadership skills through practical experience. The program will be presented after school at Mesa County Libraries' Central location starting Tuesday, March 13 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. During the final class on April 24 all participants will deliver a 5 minute media-themed Ignite! ® presentation that will inspire all. Participants learn to:
• Evaluate present speaking ability
• Organize and give speeches
• Give impromptu talks
• Control voice, vocabulary and gestures
• Give constructive feedback
Youth Leadership Bootcamp Program group is limited to 25 students. YLB is open to any interested student and the majority of the workshops will be facilitated by experienced youth who have experienced the program and are back to “pay it forward”.
