STEM Lab: roboZone
Join Amanda from AmeriCorps and Sam from the library for a special STEM themed series. Every Monday for six weeks, we will explore robots, robotics, and other concepts in theory and practice.
Recommended for ages 8+. Registration is required for each event.
July 24: What makes a robot move? (Work in teams)
- Once we have electricity, we have to turn it into motion. We do that by using an electric motor. A motor turns electricity from another source (such as a battery) into motion. This is usually rotating motion, like a top. Motors can be used to move many things, even trains!
- Create a simple motor.
