Backyard Beekeeping for Beginners In-Person

Backyard beekeeping for beginners (or those who would like to bee)

Amanda Quiqley will give a brief overview explaining the first steps towards beekeeping. Her discussion will include research, hive preparation and beekeeper support through networking. Participants should leave having gained the tools they need ot work toward starting their own hive for next Spring!

Amanda earned a Parks and Protected Area Management degree from the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University. She has been an adult educator, a youth activities coordinator, and is now trying to learn from her mistakes as a beekeeper to help the next generation of newbees. She is currently the treasurer for the Western Beekeepers Association.
