Toastmasters Youth Leadership Bootcamp In-Person

Toastmasters Youth Leadership Bootcamp Spring 2017 will bring together bright and passionate students from all over Grand Junction for five weeks of transformative personal experience, leadership & presentation skills.

The Toastmaster Youth Leadership Bootcamp Program are workshops consisting of five two-hour sessions that enable students to develop communication and leadership skills through practical experience. The program will be presented after school at Mesa County Libraries' Central location starting Thursday, March 23rd from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Final class on April 20th all participants will deliver a 5 minute media-themed Ignite! ® presentation that will inspire all. Participants learn to:
• Evaluate present speaking ability
• Organize and give speeches
• Give impromptu talks
• Control voice, vocabulary and gestures
• Give constructive feedback
Youth Leadership Bootcamp Program group is limited to 25 students. YLB is open to any interested student and the majority of the workshops will be facilitated by experienced youth who have experienced the program and are back to “pay it forward”.

Youth Leadership Program is a major community project conducted volunteers in the Grand Junction Toastmaster Clubs. The materials that will be used in the program are produced by Toastmasters International and provided by the Grand Junction Toastmaster Clubs.

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. The organization currently has more than 260,000 members in approximately 12,500 clubs in 113 countries. Since its founding in October 1924, the organization has helped more than 4 million men and women give presentations with poise and confidence.
