Indie Lens Pop-Up - The Bad Kids In-Person

The Indie Lens Pop-Up lineup includes a diverse selection of new documentaries that explore issues. Indie Lens Pop-Up brings expert panels and average citizens together in a safe and inviting atmosphere to discuss issues of vital importance to today’s world. Each screening will be held in the Central Library Community Room starting at 6:30 p.m. All films will be preceded by a reception at 6:00 p.m. and followed by a panel discussion.

The Bad Kids: Located in an impoverished Mojave Desert community, Black Rock Continuation high School is an alterative for at-risk students with little hope of graduating from a traditional high school. It's their last chance. This coming of age story shows how extraordinary educators and talented students combat the crippling effects of poverty.

This series is a partnership between the library and Rocky Mountain PBS and sponsored by No Coast Sushi and Talon Wine Brands.
