Indie Lens Pop-Up - Real Boy In-Person

The Indie Lens Pop-Up lineup includes a diverse selection of new documentaries that explore issues. Indie Lens Pop-Up brings expert panels and average citizens together in a safe and inviting atmosphere to discuss issues of vital importance to today’s world. Each screening will be held in the Central Library Community Room starting at 6:30 p.m. All films will be preceded by a reception at 6:00 p.m. and followed by a panel discussion.

Real Boy: the coming-of-age story of Bennett Wallace, a trans teenager with dreams of musical stardom. During the first two years of his gender transition, as Bennett works to repair a strained relationship with his family, he is taken under th wing of his friend and musical hero, celebrated trans folk singer Joe Stevens.

This series is a partnership between the library and Rocky Mountain PBS and sponsored by No Coast Sushi and Talon Wine Brands.
